A last minute entry to the Fairground Reimagined contest, I suspected the obvious public domain characters would be… obvious. I paired a surprisingly empathetic Cthulu from Lovecraft lore with Dickens' penny-pinching Scrooge playing to type. Making them Wedding Planners gave me an easily understood context, reasons for a lil' conflict, and an ending. And endings aren't always easy, as a lot of SNL sketches tend to demonstrate.
