I'm MARK DAY
in AI & IRL
Fun fact. AI took my job away "before it was cool."
Now, I over-index on using AI as a creative tool.
Poetic… something or other?
Generative AI isn't my first "disruptive media" rodeo.
I was making videos before YouTube was a thing.
When YouTube became a thing, I worked on the editorial curation team.
Then (when the algorythm took that job away) I worked on branded content and influencer marketing.
I've done sensible things, like strategize marketing programs for $80K a seat Stanford Grad School programs.
And silly things, like my own minute-long AI comedy show.
Along the way, I've made videos that went viral.
Made videos that helped crowdfund art projects.
Made videos that people used to persuade their parents to go to Burning Man.
Which is nice.
Made viral AI "action figures" over a year before "everyone was doing it."
Create AI video for an honorarium Burning Man project.
Talked about AI, and Burning Man, a lot.
A bit like now.
