Having lived in America for over two decades, Wally Dug Industries is a humorous exploration of my relationship with my own Scottish identity, which is both rooted in my childhood and evident every time I open my mouth.

Wally Dugs are the colloquial Scottish name for ceramic ornaments of spaniel dogs common in early 20th century homes.

The project draws on memories of grandparents' house (a flat in Cowcaddens), where Wally Dugs sat regally on either end of the mantlepiece. Of Scottish television in the late 1970's. Of Billy Connolly telling stories on vinyl records. Of my Dad and his hoarding habits. And other Scottish stuff. All reimagined as ceramic ornamentry.

As seen on social media and and on the Wally Dug Industries website.
